Brittney Loy Gets Lucky To Double Up
Jun 24, '16
Brittney Loy raised in late position to 2,000 with the QJ, and both the blinds called. The flop fell QJ10.
Christopher Johnson checked, and Jason Durant bet 4,000. Loy shoved for 21,400. Johnson called all in for slightly less, and Durant thought about it for a bit before folding.
Loy tabled her top two pair, but she was in bad shape against Johnson’s AK.
Johnson flopped Broadway with the nut-flush draw, a great spot he found himself in thanks to not re-raising preflop out of position with big slick.
However, Loy was about to get pretty lucky.
The dealer burned and turned and the Q hit the felt, which left Johnson with one out for a royal flush. He didn’t get it with the 3 on the river.

Randall Price Doubles Thru Christopher Johnson
Jun 24, '16
Randall Price defended his blind against a preflop raise from Christopher Johnson. The flop fell J86, and Price bet out.
Johnson raised to 4,200, and Price elected to call.
The turn brought the 7.
Price checked, and Johnson moved all in for 22,800. Price thought about it for 30 seconds or so and then called all in for his tournament life (18,300).
Johnson tabled the QQ for an over-pair, but it was behind Price’s 86, which was two pair on the flop.
The river was the 9, which left Johnson crippled and Price with a stack of around 40,000.
