Ellis would have none of that nonsense and raised it to 32,000. Wahlbeck thought for a few moments and then mucked. Phan was next to act and he tanked for a few moments, but thought better of messing with Ellis and mucked. It was a good thing too as Ellis showed his diamond flush and his stack ballooned to over 600,000. Tim Phan Gets Some Chips Back Eric Brooks: X-X-A Brooks completed to 8,000 and both Phan and Wong made the call. Eric Brooks: X-X-AJ Brooks bet 8,000 again and both players stuck around. Eric Brooks: X-X-AJ2 Wong led out this time for 16,000 as he hit a pair of fours. Brooks mucked and Phan stuck around. Phan: X-X-6925 Wong fired 16,000 again and Phan called. On the river Wong fired another bet of 16,000 and Phan called, showing his A75 for just a pair of fives. It was good enough as Wong mucked and Phan raked in the pot. His stack was at 290,000 while Wong was down to 60,000. Wong later busted in 15th place. Mueller Takes One Off Judah Mel Judah: X-X-Q Mel Judah completed to 8,000 and Mueller popped it to 16,000. Judah called and both players saw fourth street. Mel Judah: X-X-Q9 Mueller fired 8,000 and Judah called. Mel Judah: X-X-Q97 Mueller fired another shot, this one 16,000 and Judah had enough as he mucked his hand. His stack was down to 240,000 while Mueller was around 420,000. Matt Glantz Doubles Through Mel Judah, Busts in 14th Later Glantz: AKQA9K(2) Matt Glantz was all in for his last 37,000 and Mel Judah made the call. Judah was ahead with a pair of Queens but Glantz took the lead on fourth street when he paired his ace. Judah caught consecutive sevens for two pair, but Glantz caught another king for aces up. Judah mucked his river card and Glantz doubled up to around 75,000 while Judah was down to just under 100,000. The good news was short lived for Glantz as he busted later against Hasan Habib when he made a set a Kings on the river to best Glantz’s set of Queens. Goddard made the call and Frangos did the same. Brian Goddard: X-X-4A Frangos fired 5,000 and Sexton raised again to 10,000. Goddard and Frangos called. Brian Goddard: X-X-4A2 Frangos led out again with 10,000 and both of his opponents called. Brian Goddard: X-X-4A23 Frangos bet out another 10,000 and his opponents called again. On the river, Frangos bet another 10,000 and Sexton called for his last 2,500. Goddard then raised it to 20,000 much to Frangos’ surprise. He looked both confused and disgusted with the turn of events and mucked his hand. Goddard then showed his hole cards, AA6 for a set of aces. Sexton mucked his hand and he was eliminated. Goddard was at 165,000 while Frangos was down to 50,000. Alex Kravchenko Drops A Pot, Then Busts Seat 8: X-X-K Kravchenko completed to 5,000 and seat 8 raised to 10,000. Kravchenko called. Seat 8: X-X-K4 Seat 8 bet 5,000 and Kravchenko came along for the ride. Seat 8: X-X-K4J Seat 8 fired another shot, this one 10,000. Kravchenko had enough and mucked his hand. He was down to 80,000 after the hand but lost that a short time later and he was eliminated. Kid Poker Takes a Pot Off Brown and Wong Daniel Negreanu: X-X-51010J Wong bet 10,000 on the river and Brown made the call. Negreanu then raised it to 20,000 and Wong went into the tank. After some moments of thought, he mucked his hand and Brown followed suit. Negreanu raked in the pot and his stack was at 260,000. Brown’s stack was at 134,000 while Wong was at 160,000. Ben Lin Ousted By Hasan Habib Lin was all in against Habib and Eric Drache. Habib and Drache were contesting a side pot and when Habib showed down his hand, Drache could not beat it and mucked his hand. Matt Glantz then asked Lin if he could contest the side pot. Lin nodded and threw his hand in the muck, exiting the tournament area. Habib was up to 100,000 while Drache was at 122,000. Wong called, turning over 65 for an open-ended straight draw. Negreanu showed QJ for top pair, and it held when the river came 2. Wong was eliminated in fifth place.
Daniel Negreanu limped and Richard Li raised. Negreanu called and the flop came 633. Li bet, Negreanu raised and Li called. The turn was the 6 and Negreanu bet again. Li called and the river was the 9. Negreanu bet, Li called and Negreanu showed his six for a full house to take the pot.
Richard Li was all in preflop holding 64 against the A10 of Daniel Negreanu. The board ran out JJ584 and Li rivered a four to double up to about 220,000. Shortly after the hand, Li was crippled by Baker.
