Event No. 17 ($5,000 no-limit hold’em) Begins at Noon on Tuesday

Event No. 17 ($5,000 no-limit hold’em) at the 2010 World Series of Poker will begin at noon on Tuesday, June 8. Players will begin with 15,000 in tournament chips and blinds will begin at 50-100. Levels will be 60-minutes long and there will be a 20-minute break after every two levels. There will be a 90-minute dinner break after level 6 on day 1. Here is a look at the schedule for the event:

Tuesday, June 8, noon: Day 1 (play 10 levels)
Wednesday, June 8, 2:30 p.m.: Day 2 (play down to final table or through 10 levels)
Thursday, June 9, 2:30 p.m.: Final Table

Big Hands:

Brock Parker Eliminated

On a flop of 1062, Brock Parker and Bryan Pellegrino got it all-in. Parker exposed J10 for top pair, while Pellegrino tabled Q8 for a flush draw. Parker needed to dodge diamonds and any queen in order to double up back into the match. The 9 on the turn gave Pellegrino even more outs and one finally came as the Q hit the river. Parker was eliminated after finishing in the money in another event.

Brian Lemke Eliminated

On a board of 1053QK, Brian Lemke went all-in and Jamin Stokes made the quick call. Stokes tabled K10 for two pair, while Lemke mucked.

Mike Caro Advances

On a flop of J72, Mike Caro and Dmitry Lesnov got it all-in. Caro exposed the Q9 for a flush draw, while Lesnov tabled the KJ for top pair. The K hit the turn and Caro nailed his flush, however it gave Lesnov outs for a full house. The four outer didn’t came as the 6 fell on the river.
