Andrew Frankenberger — 2,100,000 Average Chip Count: 770,000 Notable Eliminations: 22: Huy Lam — $13,000 Chip Movers and Shakers Andrew Frankenberger became the first player to cross the 2-million mark in the tournament during the last level of play tonight. Jonathan Little stands strong with 1.3 million as the lone big-name professional left in the event. Recent familiar faces to fall include Charlie Hooke, Allen Kessler, Darryll Fish, and David Sands. Big Hands: Charlie Hook Eliminated in 21st Place ($13,000) Charlie Hook moved all in from the button preflop and Andrew Frankenberger made the call in the small blind. Their cards: Hook: A3 Board: 64262 Hook was eliminated in 21st place on the hand and Frankenberger grew his stack to 1,030,000. Allen Kessler Eliminated in 20th Place ($13,000) Hoan Ly raised preflop and Allen Kessler reraised all in from the cutoff. Kyle McCammond moved all in over the top of Kessler from the big blind and Ly mucked. Their cards: Kessler: 77 Board: AK3310 Kessler was eliminated on the hand in 20th place and he was awarded $13,000. McCammond held 570,000 after the hand. David Sands Eliminated in 17th Place ($15,500) Tom Braband raised to 25,000 preflop from middle position and David Sands reraised to 67,000 in the big blind. Braband reraised all in and Sands made the all-in call for 220,000. Their cards: Braband: 99 Board: J845K Sands was eliminated in 17th place, taking home $15,500, and Braband grew his stack to 710,000. Jared Jaffee — 805,000 Average Chip Count: 398,275 Notable Eliminations: 37: Ari Goott — $10,200 Chip Movers and Shakers Phil Collins has fallen from the top 10 during this level that was very tough on the professionals remaining in play. Many have busted out of the tournament and those that remain are in the lower half of the chip counts. Allen Kessler, David Sands, Collins, Peter Rho, Charlie Hook, and Jonathan Little are still alive and kicking, but they all hold the chip average or less. Jared Jaffee currently leads the way with 805,000. Big Hands: Phil Collins Takes a Big Hit Kyle McCammond checked a flop of 752 from the big blind and Collins bet 25,000 from the hi-jack. McCammond check-raised to 61,000 total. Collins raised another 70,000 on top of that and McCammond made the call after some deliberation. Both players checked the 8 on the turn and the J on the river. McCammond flipped over pocket fives and Collins mucked. The level was a rough one for Collins and this pot dropped him down to 350,000 after he held 1.1 million a short time ago. Soi Nguyen Eliminated in 34th Place ($11,500) Soi Nguyen raised to 16,500 from middle position and Jared Jaffee reraised to 36,500 from the small blind. Nguyen made the call and the flop was dealt 643. Jaffee bet 63,000 and Nguyen raised to 183,000. Jaffee reraised all in and Nguyen made the call for his final 100,000. Their cards: Nguyen: 10-10 Turn and River: 6 and 5 Jaffee made a full house to grow his stack to 805,000 and take the chip lead. Nguyen was eliminated on the hand in 34th place, taking home $11,500. Marco Johnson Eliminated in 33rd Place ($11,500) Marco Johnson moved all in for his last 100,000 preflop and Charlie Hook made the call. Johnson held the lead with pocket sevens and Hook held A-Q. Hook made a pair on the board and Johnson was eliminated in 33rd place, taking home $11,500. Joe Sebok Eliminated in 32nd Place ($11,500) Joe Sebok was all in with J10 in the hole with a flop of K-J-9 sitting on the table with two spades. John Smith had him covered with A2 and the turn broguth an ace to give Smith the lead. The river was no help for Sebok and he busted out in 32nd place, taking home $11,500. Phil Collins — 870,000 Average Chip Count: 192,500 Notable Eliminations: Ted Lawson Chip Movers and Shakers Phil Collins holds strong at the top with 870,000 and the only other player to cross he half-million threshold was Kyle McCammond. Erica Schoenberg joined the top 10 today and she now holds 340,000. Players that need to start moving some chips include Franco Brunetti, Jonathan Aguiar, and Ken Michelman. There haven’t been too many busts today, just five during the first level, as the money bubble slow down has set in early. Big Hands: Adam Schiffer Takes an Early Hit Adam Schiffer raised to 8,500 from middle position Jong Jin moved all in for 59,000 from the big blind. Schiffer made the call and they flipped over their cards: Schiffer: A9 Board: J8352 Jin doubled up to 125,000 and Schiffer held 275,000 after the hand. Jordan Young Busts One Jordan Young raised to 6,500 in early position and Eric Yilmaz reraised to 15,000 from the hi-jack. Huy Lam made the call on the button and Young reraised to 50,000. Yilmaz then moved all in for 100,000 and Lam mucked. Young made the call and they flipped over their cards: Young: AA Board: J7682 Young won the pot to grow his stack to 460,000 and he moved into fourth chip-position. Tim Phan Doubles Up Tim Phan raised from middle position and Jonathan Aguiar reraised to 21,000 from the cutoff preflop. Phan reraised again and Aguiar responded by moving all in. Phan made the all-in call and they flipped over their cards: Phan: KK Board: J65J10 Charlie Hook Doubles Up Charlie Hook got it all in preflop for his final 55,000 and J.C. Alvarado made the call.
