Lynn Samples raised to 25,000 from the cutoff and Brant Hale called from the small blind. The two saw a flop of 1044 and Hale check-raised to 75,000 after Samples cut out of bet of 30,000. Samples called and saw the K on the turn. Both players checked and the river was the 9. Hale fired out a massive bet of 135,000 and Samples went into the tank.
Samples ultimately folded, saying that although she was pretty sure she had the best hand, she was not ready to go broke just yet.
“I’m gonna let it go,” she told Hale. “But I just want you to know I’m really pissed about it.”
