I'll Show for a DrinkFeb 19, '09 Coming in on the action after some betting and raising preflop, the board shows: 432. Andreas Hoivold goes all-in putting Rasmus Nielsen to the test. Another player at the table says, "You have A-K suited spades?" Hoivold sarcastically replies, "Eh... no." He then adds, "I'll show you if you call... I'll show you if you fold." His chips are counted and they total 180,200. Nielsen mucks his cards and says, "Show me the bluff!" "It's not a bluff!" cries Hoivold as he stands up and turns to the crowd... "You wanna see? Who's gonna buy me a drink?" He flips over A3 and is applauded. "I told you it was a good hand!" he says smiling.
Player Tags: Andreas Hoivold Still Too ChickenFeb 19, '09 With a pot worth 27,000 in the middle of the table and a board of Q4310, Andreas Hoivold bets 14,300 and Markus Lehmann goes into the tank. It seems to be all he has been doing lately. He takes so long that players have time to leave the table, talk to friends, stretch their legs, and go to the toilet. He then folds. "Show it!" he demands Hoivold, and then eventually talks him into it. Hoivold shows A9 for a simple ace-high. Lehmann is seething. The table laughs unsure as to whether believe him or not and the cards are dealt. 55310A appear on the felt and Hoivold doubles up to the 16,000 mark.
