Paul Vas Nunes opened the pot for 110,000 before the flop, Dylan Hortin three-bet, Nunes shoved and Hortin called all in.

Hortin was all in for his tournament life before the flop and in the lead with AK against Nunes’ AQ.

The board came 4427Q, giving Nunes top pair on the river to win the pot and eliminate Dylan Hortin in 9th place ($53,126). Nunes move dup to about 5 million after the hand.

Kyle Frey Eliminated in 8th Place ($68,121)

Paul Vas Nunes shoved the small blind and Kyle Frey called all in from the big blind.

Frey was ahead before the flop with AQ against Nunes’ Q4.

The board came 975103, giving Nunes a flush on the turn to win the pot and eliminate Kyle Frey in 8th place ($68,121).

Joseph Chaplin Eliminated in 7th Place ($88,481)

Joseph Chaplin open-shoved before the flop for 170,000, Morten Moretensen three-bet the button and Darryl Ronconi called all in for 300,000.

Ronconi was ahead before the flop and turned top pair to win the pot and eliminate Joseph Chaplin in 7th place ($88,481). Ronconi more than doubled up that hand to about 800,000 while Moretnsen dropped down to around 1.5 million.

Darryl Ronconi Eliminated in 6th Place ($116,452)

Darryl Ronconi opened the button for 110,000, Greg Ostrander reraised the big blind to 350,000, Ronconi moved all in and Ostrander called.

Ostrander was ahead before the flop with 55 against Ronconi’s AQ.

The board came Q751010, giving Ostrander a full house to win the pot and eliminate Darryl Ronconi in 6th place ($116,452). Ostander moved up to about 3 million in chips that hand.

Roger Fontes Eliminated in 5th Place ($115,498)

Jackie Glazier opened the cutoff for 100,000, Roger Fontes moved all in for 225,000 from the big blind and Glazier called.

Fontes was all in for his tournament life with 22 against Glazier’s QJ.

The board came AAJJ5, double-pairing the board to counterfeit Fontes’ hand. Roger Fontes was eliminated in 5th place ($155,498) while Jackie Galzier moved up to about 2.5 million in chips.

Action Begins, Final Table Now Underway

The final table of Event no. 41 ($3,000 No-Limit Hold’em ) is now underway, and Card Player will be posting level-by-level updates with all of the action, current chip counts, and prize distributions.

Day 3 began with 30 players spread out over 4 tables, and with the elimination of J.P. Kelly in 10th Place ($41,976), the final table is now set. Play will begin in Level 28 with blinds of 25,000-50,000 with a 5,000 ante, and will continue until a winner is determined.

Darryl Ronconi Eliminated in 2nd Place ($510,053)

Adam Geyer Started the day as the chip leader, but Darryl Ronconi doubled through Geyer early in the day, taking the chip lead for himself and leaving Geyer on the short stack. Although it was Ronconi that took the early lead here on Day 4, it was Antonin Teisseire that began the day as the aggressor, busting Eric Froehlich in fourth place and then Geyer in 3rd, nearly evening the stacks heading into heads-up play.

Ronconi began the final match with roughly 6.3 million to Teisseire’s 6 million, but Teisseire quickly took the lead and never looked back. On the final hand of the tournament, Darryl Ronconi open-shoved before the flop from the button and Antonin Teisseire called from the big blind.

Teisseire lead with A 8 against Ronconi’s Q 8.

The board came Q 10 3 2 9, giving Teisseire a flush on the river to win the pot.

Darrly Ronconi was eliminated in 2nd place ($510,053) while Antonin Teisseire wins the gold bracelet in Event #50 and the $825,604 grand prize.

Adam Geyer started the unscheduled fourth day of this event as the chip leader, but quickly lost most of his chips early in the first level after Darryl Ronconi flopped a set to double through Geyer and take the chip lead for himself with just about 6.3 million.

Morgan Out, Players At Dinner

Jennifer Lam, the last remaining woman in the field, was eliminated in 27^th place earning $17,827.  Also earning that payout was one-time chip-leader, Jordan Morgan, who was busted in an unlikely 24^th place just before the dinner break. 

Morgan tangled in a pot with Darryl Ronconi, who Morgan had outchipped by only about $30,000.  The two of them ended up getting all of the money in on a flop of J-10-9.  Morgan had pocket Kings, and Ronconi had A-Q.  The turn was a blank, but a King hit on the river, and Morgan was crippled.  All-in on his very next hand with 4-3, Morgan couldn’t beat his opponent’s 10-9, and he was eliminated.
 

Still alive in the field are David Daneshgar, Justin Pechie, and Ross Boatman, who has been visited by his brother Barny on the rail recently.

The players then went on a 20 minute break and will color up the chips when they return. Rice remained in the chip lead after the break with over $1.8 million. Blinds were kicked up to $20,000-$40,000 with a $5,000 ante.

The Thinker

Many players at the table were still passive at this point and many of them appeared to be deep in though, or bored. They looked like a modern lineup of Rodin’s famous sculpture, “The Thinker,” with their fists or hands on their chin, cheeks, or face.

Ken Einiger raised under the gun, and Evan Schwartz reraised to $235,000. Einiger called. The flop hit the board Q 6 6.
