Tom Thomas Can't MissFeb 15, '14 According to his table, Tom Thomas is running about as hot as one can. A player in middle position opened to 2,500 and Jamie Flynn called from the cutoff. Rick Jordan called out of the small blind and Thomas called out of the big blind. After a flop of A109 all four checked. The turn was the 10 and Jordan fired out 2,000. Thomas called and the other two players got out of the way. After the 7 opened on the river Jordan checked but Thomas bet 3,000. Jordan thought for a bit, perhaps considering Thomas’s previous luck with the cards, but made the call. Thomas flipped over 109 for a full house and Jordan pushed his hand to the middle without showing. “He can’t miss,” one tablemate said as Thomas raked in the pot. On the very next hand, according to the table talk, cards continued to fall in Thomas’s favor. “Do you ever miss a flop?” Another player asked.
