UTG raised to 500 preflop, and both the small blind and Bogdan Chornyy (big blind) called. The flop was dealt J102, and all three players checked to the 9 on the turn.
The small blind bet 700, Chornyy bet 2,200, and UTG folded. The small blind called before the river delivered the A. Chornyy bet 6,500, and the small blind check-folded. Chornyy stacked up 43,000 after collecting the pot.
Chornyy will be looking to build on the success he had here at the Venetian just last week in this CPPT main event. Chornyy finished runner-up to Eric Baldwin in the $1,100 Mid-States Poker Tour event on Dec. 30 to score $66,870.
Bogdan Chornyy – 43,000 (215 bb)
