Player Tags: Herbert Tapscott, Gavin Griffin, Thayer Rasmussen, John Racener Level 27 Update: Raymond Davis Eliminated in 8th Place ($24,111)Jun 03, '12 Level: 27 Blinds: 20,000-40,000 Players Remaining: out of 967 Average Chip Count: 621,642 Chip Counts: Seat no. 1 — Herbert Tapscott — 230,000 Seat no. 5 — Michael Kleist — 685,000 Seat no. 7 — Gavin Griffin — 1,100,000 Players Eliminated: Raymond Davis — 8th Place ($24,111) Live Updates: Raymond Davis Eliminated in 8th Place ($24,111) Thayer Rasmussen opened the pot for 80,000, Raymond Davis called all in and Michael Kleist called the raise for the side pot. Short Stacks Stay Alive Despite losing Raymond Davis in 9th place ($24,111), the remaining short stacks seemed to do a good job at picking their spots this level and scoring some much needed double ups to stay alive. John Racener nearly doubled through chipleader Gavin Griffin towards the middle of the level after scooping a pot with a pair of aces and the nut low, putting him up to almost 600,000. Herbert Tapscott found a double up and then some after being knocked down to under 2 big blinds this past level. In a key pot against John Racener and Thayer Rasmussen towards the end of the level, Tapscott found a triple up with wheel which put him back at nearly 7 big blinds to stay alive.
