The river was a 5 and Rousso reached over to shake Bari’s hand, resigned to her fate. The dealer and the rest of the players at the table then informed both players that the pot was split and they both took back their bets, albeit a little red in the face. After the hand, Bari began to joke, saying, “She shook my hand, isn’t that binding?” When another opponent asked if he had ever played poker before, Bari responded dryly, “Just once a year, here in Monte Carlo.” Team PokerStars Pro Noah Boeken Hits the Rail Noah Boeken was all in for his last 17,100 holding A Not A Good Start For the Chip Leader Thiago Nishijima entered the day with the chip lead and still has it, but he is going in the wrong direction. The blinds had been brought in and now Yockey was entitled to a refund. Boeken just wanted the board to come out, but the floor was called over to determine the amount. Yockey was eventually awarded 800 back and Boeken’s A-9 needed help against Yockey’s pocket jacks. The board bricked and Boeken was eliminated, giving Yockey all of the chips anyway, but not before Boeken had to endure a five-minute elimination. Player Tags: Noah Boeken |

On a flop of 9-10-8, one player went all in, one other player moved in also, and Boeken called. The PokerStars Team Pro player had flopped a straight with 7-6 and so mopped it all up (around 40,000). The inital all-in raiser had pocket aces. “What he did made no sense,” said Boeken. It doesn’t have to make sense however, as whatever the reason, it has pushed Boeken up the ranks towards the upper spots. Player Tags: Noah Boeken Noah Boeken Doubles UpSep 05, '09
