Big Hands:
What the...? Gorelik Gone in 20th Place ($20,241)
Facing a raise from the player in seat 7, Guy Gorelik moved all in after much thought. Gabe Costner, acting right after Gorelik, asked for a chip count from the dealer and decided to move all in over the top of Gorelik. Seat 7 got out of the way and he had a shocked look on his face when he saw the hands in play. He wasn't alone, as the rail let out some expressions of amazement. Gorelik showed A7, but Costner had amazed and confused spectators around the table, because even against a raise and a reraise he had moved all in with A5. Gorelik looked to be in good shape to get back in contention, bu tthe flop brought a dagger, running K53 to pair Costner's 5. The turn K and river 4 sent a disgusted Gorelik to the rail in 20th place. Costner shot up into the chip lead with 912,000.
Back-to-Back Big Pots
In a three-way pot, a flop of K85 was checked to Ryan D'Angelo, who bet 56,000. Sergey Rybachenko immediately made the call and Denys Drobyna got out of the way. The turn was the 8 and Rybachenko quickly checked to D'Angelo who fired 125,000. Rybachenko made the call again. The river was the A and Rybachenko checked a final time to D'Angelo, who didn't stop firing. He bet 240,000 and Rybachenko tanked. He finally made the call and D'Angelo announced, "kings full of eights," then flipped over KK for the monstrous full house. Rybachenko slid his cards into the muck and passed a massive pot to young D'Angelo.
The following hand D'Angelo and Rybachenko were heads up again. D'Angelo again led the betting on every street with Rybachenko calling him down. After the river on a Q10255 board, D'Angelo fired out 120,000 and Rybachenko made the call without much thought. "You get some of them back," D'Angelo said and showed K-9 for a missed straight draw. Rybachenko showed J10 for two pair and got many of his chips back.
D'Angelo ended the level with around 850,000 in chips. Rybachenko had around 480,000 in chips.

Boeken, Sica Out; We Have a Winner
Jun 09, '08
Note: Players are now on a 20 minute break.
Blinds/Antes: 800-1,600 with a 200 Ante
Table Winners: Sergey Rybachenko
Big Hands:
Boeken Crippled, Then Finished
Alex Triner fired a bet of 3,300 into the pot after a flop of Q410. Noah Boeken raised to 25,000 total and after much thought, Triner moved all in. Boeken called instantly and the players showed the following:
Triner: KK
Boeken: AQ
The turn was the 2 and was no help to Boeken, who needed an ace or queen to win the hand. The river was the nail in the coffin as the K crippled Boeken, leaving him with just 3,500 in chips and doubling Triner to over 141,000. A few hands later, Boeken busted out.
Sica Flops Ahead, But is Turned Around and Directed Toward the Rail
Michael Sica was all in against Thomas Sliflca. Sica had A-10, dominated by Sliflca's A-J. But the flop put Sica out in front when a 10 showed up and Sliflca was furious. His fury quickly turned to joy, however, as a jack appeared on the turn and the river sent Sica to the rail. Sliflca made his own exit a short time later.
Zeidman Takes One
On a board showing J42, Cory Zeidman led out with 8,200. His opponent went into the tank and decided to pick another spot to play, folding his hand. Zeidman was up to around 43,000.
We Have a Winner
Sergey Rybachenko was heads up against Paul Ferner. Rybachenko had a chip lead of 195,000 to 105,000. It took all of 10 minutes for the winner to be declared.
On a flop of Q39, Ferner bet 3,000. Rybachenko came over the top the whole way, moving all in. Ferner quickly called and turned over A9 thinking his second pair could be good. But the bad news was revealed by Rybachenko when he turned over Q6. The turn was the 8 and the river sealed the victory for Rybachenko when the K hit the felt.

Final Table - Hour Five - Rybachenko 7th, Bowker 6th, Giannetti 5th

Blinds/Antes: 6,000-12,000 with a 2,000 ante
Players Left: 4
Chip Counts:
Jason Young: 5,000,000
Mike Schwartz: 2,400,000
Rory Monahan: 1,400,000
John Strzemp: 1,200,000
Eliminations:
Sergey Rybachenko Eliminated in 7th Place ($15,698)
Kyle Bowker Eliminated in 6th Place (23,888)
Matt Giannetti Eliminated in 5th Place ($40,268)
Big Hands:
Sergey Rybachenko Falls Off, Jason Young Claims Chip Lead
Sergey Rybachenko went from being the chip leader to the short stack, and then being eliminated in just one round of play. Here is how it happened…Sergey Rybachenko check-raised Jason Young on a flop of A87. Rybachenko checked to Young who bet 55,000, Rybachenko raised to 125,000 and Young called. The 3 hit the turn and Rybachenko bet 250,000, Young called. The river was the 8 and Rybachenko bet out almost 700,000. Young quickly called and Rybacheno threw his hand into the muck before Young even had a chance to turn over AQ for top pair. Young took a massive pot off of the former chip leader, now grabbing the chip lead for himself.
Sergey Rybachenko Eliminated in 7th Place ($15,698)
Kyle Bowker Eliminated in 6th place ($23,888)
Kyle Bowker came in for a 100,000 raise. John Strzemp called from the cutoff and Mike Schwartz called from the button. Sergey Rybachenko moved all in from the small blind for a little over 250,000. When it got back to Kyle Bowker, he too moved all in (637,000), and so did Mike Schwartz when it got to him. Strzemp folded and it was a three-way all in pot. Schwartz had them both covered.
Rybachenko: KK
Bowker: Q9
Schwartz: AQ
Board: J429A
Rybachenko led with a pair of kings. The turn gave Bowker a small piece of the board, but the ace on the river gave Schwartz the check mark and Sergey Rybachenko was eliminated in 7th place ($15,698), followed by Kyle Bowker in 6th pace ($23,888). Although Rybachenko and Bowker were both eliminated on the same hand, Bowker gets the better finish based on the fact that going into the hand, Bowker had more chips.
Matt Giannetti Eliminated in 5th Place ($40,268)
After a series of consecutive pre-flop open-raises, Matt Giannetti raised for the last time when Mike Schwartz made the call. The flop came AK9, and Swchartz moved all in. Giannetti tanked for a minute and then called off the rest of his chips. Schwartz turned over Q9 for bottom pair and the nut flush draw while Giannetti showed A10 for top pair. The turn was the Q, putting Schwartz out in front with two pair. Giannetti picked up the inside straight draw along with other outs, but the river brought the 9, giving Schwartz a full house. Giannetti was eliminated in 5th place, earning $40,268.

Casey Coleman Eliminated in 10th Place ($7,508)
Mike Schwartz came in for a raise to 60,000 and both Casey Coleman and Matt Giannetti made the call. The flop came 773, and Schwartz made a bet. Coleman called all in for his last few thousand chips while Giannetti got out of the way. Schwartz turned over 88 for the overpair while Coleman showed AQ. Coleman would need some help on the turn and/or river to stay alive. The turn was the J and the river was the 10, no help to Casey Coleman who was eliminated in 10th place ($7,508).
Alex Triner Doubles Through Chip Leader
Sergey Rybachenko came in for a pre-flop raise from under the gun and made two callers out of Alex Triner and John Strzemp. The flop came AK5, and Rybacheno bet 135,000. Triner called, Strzemp folded. The 4 hit the turn and Rybachenko fired out 275,000. Triner reraised all in for roughly 400,000 more and Rybachenko tanked for a minute before making the call. Triner turned over AQ for top pair, top kicker while Rybachenko showed A10 for top pair with a weaker kicker. Rybachenko could win the pot with a ten on the river or split the pot if the board pairs the five or the four, otherwise Triner would double up. The river was the 9 and Alex Triner doubled through the chip leader to over 1,000,000 in chips.
