Don Cheadle is best known for his parts in the hits Ocean's Eleven, Boogie Nights, Hotel Rwanda, and Crash. He was an Academy Award nominee for best actor, but lately has been working on his poker skills in order to play the pros heads-up. He has starred in the 2007 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship (where he beat Phil Ivey), Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown, and ESPN's Pro/Am Poker Equalizer.
This Kansas City native has been known for using his status to grow awareness about certain issues. The most recent cause he has been fighting for is the death and disease issues in Darfur. He teamed up with Annie Duke to host the Ante Up for Africa charity event.
