Boatman Sinks; Ruthenberg RoarsMar 10, '09 Sebastian Ruthenberg has tripled up through Barny Boatman (holding Q-Q pre-flop) and another opponent when he got his short-stack all in pre-flop and hit a 10. Boatman was gone a couple of hands later running trips into a flush draw which hit. Andreas Hoivold has also scored a big pot, busting a player with A-Q vs. A-J to move to around 20,000.
Player Tags: Barny Boatman, Andreas Hoivold, Sebastian Ruthenberg Early BustsMar 12, '09 Play is now full swing and already down 15 players. Two of which are local EPT Barcelona champion Sebastian Ruthenberg and one of yesterday's trailblazers Davidi Kitai (of Belgium). First Ruthenberg: He pushes all-in with A-8 from the cut-off and is called by the small blind who holds pocket jacks. Things look rosey for him as the board drops AA2, but the turn brings utter disappointment in the form of the J, with a not-so-helpful 3 on the river. Next Kitai: He raises from the small blind with 64 and gets one caller. The flop is K-5-2 with one spade. Kitai checks his inside straight draw, and his opponent bets 2,500. Kitai comes over the top with a raise to 5,000 which is met with "call". The turn is the J giving him a flush draw, so he pushes all in. His opponent calls and the river is a great big blank. He is beaten by K-7 for top pair.

Ruthenberg; a Little FlushedDec 09, '08 Sebastian Ruthenberg now sits on 63,000 chips. With J10 he was sitting pretty when the flop came down AK4. It was all-in, call, and his opponent showed A-Q, none of which were spades. His measly top pair could not compete.
Player Tags: Sebastian Ruthenberg Ruthless RuthenbergDec 11, '08 Sebastian Ruthenberg bets 8,100 on a flop of Q63 and fellow German Haward Speer calls. The turn is the 2 and both players check. The A falls on the river, Speer checks, and Ruthenberg bets out 16,000. Speer goes into the tank, and eventually comes out the other side with a fold. Ruthenberg now has a nice healthy stack in front of him. Chip counts to follow soon...
Player Tags: Sebastian Ruthenberg, Haward Speer Sebastian Ruthenberg Eliminated in 9th Place (â¬42,800)Dec 12, '08 Sebastian Ruthenberg moves all in and Massimo Di Cicco comes over the top. Di Sicco has AK and Ruthenberg KQ. The board to end day 3 is 843J9 and Ruthenberg is dominated. He leaves the tournament in ninth place, but shouldn't feel too bad as he now is the proud owner of €42,800.
Player Tags: Sebastian Ruthenberg Ship them to SebastianDec 12, '08 Sebastian Ruthenberg bets 16,000 on a Q-10-9 flop. Alexiou Konstantinos calls and the turn is the 6. Ruthenberg checks, Konstantinos makes a bet and Ruthenberg pushes all in for 128,000. Konstantinos tanks and calls. He shows K-7 for some inside straight draws, while Ruthenberg reveals Q-9 for two pair. Ruthenberg needs to avoid an 8 or a jack, and he does. The river is the A and Ruthenberg chips up again.
Player Tags: Sebastian Ruthenberg Ruthenberg Reaps RewardsDec 12, '08 Jonathan Duhamel is all in with 77 and Sebastian Ruthenberg calls with JJ. The board is K728 and Ruthenberg needs a spade or a jack. It's the Q and Ruthenberg cripples Duhamel.
