Day 1 Completed
Jun 04, '10
Of the 150 players that entered the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship, only 88 will return to play at 3 p.m. on day 2.
It was a pro-heavy field, which means plenty of top-flight pros hit the rail on day 1. Notables that were eliminated included Huck Seed, Tom Dwan, Amnon Filippi, Ted Forrest, David Benyamine, John Juanda, Annie Duke, and Erick Lindgren.
Fresh off of their heads-up battle at the Players Championship, Michael Mizrachi and Vladimir Schmelov are atop the chip counts after day 1. John D’Agostino and Doyle Brunson are also in the top five with over 100,000 each.
Stay tuned to Card Player for continued level-by-level coverage of the tournament on Friday.
