Daniel Alaei made it 112,000 more and was called by Ulliott and Dwan. The flop came K32 and Alaei moved all-in for 320,000 and Ulliot mucked his hand. Dwan did the same after a little thought. Dwan dropped to 990,000, Alaei is up to 720,000, and Ulliott is down to 130,000. Leandro Pimentel Eliminated Stephen Pierson raised from the cutoff and Leandro Pimentel re-potted from the big blind. Pierson moved all-in and Pimentel called off the last of his chips. Pierson showed the AA77 and Pimentel showed the J1098. The board ran out AJ332, giving Pierson the pot with aces full of threes. Miguel Proulx Knocks Out Two After a fop of J2Q, Stephen Ladowsky led out with a pot-sized bet of 75,000 and Daniel Harmetz re-potted. Miguel Proulx then moved all-in over the top of both of them and Ladowsky and Harmetz both called. Proulx showed AAK8, giving him aces with a straight and flush draw. Harmetz showed KQ109, giving him top pair, a wrap draw, and a weaker flush draw. Ladowsky showed AKJ10, giving him a pair and a wrap draw. The turn was the A, giving Proulx a set, but the other two players a straight and the river was the J, which paired the board and gave Proulx aces full and the pot. Proulx is up to 1,450,000 in chips with that pot. He called. Their hands: Mattila: AK72 The flop ran AJ6, giving Mattila the best hand going into the turn. That’s when things started looking grim for Mattila, as the K fell to give Alaei a set. The river was the 10 and Mattila was gone in 3rd place, making $354,218. With that, Alaei and Miguel Proulx were heads up and Alaei held a dominating chip lead. Alaei Wins Event No. 55 ($780,599), Proulx Gets Runner-Up ($482,265) In a quiet limped pot the flop ran 1095 and Miguel Proulx checked, allowing Daniel Alaei to bet 250,000. The river was the K and Proulx checked again. Klein then moved all in and Proulx snap-called, showing down AQQ2 for the nut flush. He repotted and Pope made the call for the rest of his chips. Pope turned over J1098 and Proulx showed KKJ7. The board ran out A6334, missing Pope completely and he was ousted from the tournament. Karl Gal Eliminated In Sixth Place ($54,736) Karl Gal moved all in for his last 200,000 and Miguel Proulx made the call. He showed down QJ106 while Gal showed KK87. The flop was good for both players as it came down QJ2, giving Gal a flush and Proulx two pair. The turn was the A, helping neither player. But the river was the Q, giving Proulx the full house and Gal was eliminated. Joerg Engels Eliminated in Fifth Place ($72,227) Joerg Engels raised to 110,000 from the button and Michael Greco made the call from the big blind. The flop came down 665 and Greco checked. Engels moved all in and Greco made the call. Engels showed down A994 and Greco showed A633. Greco had trips and improved to a full house when the A fell on the turn and the river was the 7, securing Engels’ fate as he was eliminated. Stephane Tayar Eliminated In Fourth Place ($96,253) Stephane Tayar raised to 140,000 from under the gun and Miguel Proulx was the only caller. Tayar only had 10,000 behind and threw it into the pot before the flop was dealt. Proulx made the call and showed AK43 while Tayar showed QJ98. The board ran out Q10227, giving Proulx a superior spade flush and Tayar was eliminated.
