The Midnight TrainJul 07, '07 Montel Keeps On Giving...away his chips. Montel gets it all in with A  A on a 8 74 board, but his opponent tables 88. The next two cards brick for Montel, and he loses a heft $35,000 chunk of his stack. He is down down to less then $50,000 in chips.The Waco Kid Jared Hamby raises to $2,300 under the gun and the button moves all in for $6,900 total. Waco says "I wish I could fold.", then calls with K Q. His opponent tables AJ, but the board comes Q 43K2 giving Waco top two and shipping him the pot. Waco then went on to explain to Card player that he doesn't alway run well. He told of a story in which he was dealt one ace, and when his second card was coming the dealer accidental exposed it. It was a second ace. To make it worse on of the players at the table woke up with K-K, and Waco missed a huge opportunity. Simon's AK had Liu dominated preflop, and after the board came down 765K7 Simon doubled to around $25,000 while his friend Norm MacDonald looked cheered him on from the sidelines. The Schoenfeld Split Cardplayer and PokerStars's own Adam Schoenfeld called a raise to $2,000 from the big blind, and he and his opponent saw a flop of K Q 10. His opponent bet $4,000 and Schoenfeld raised to $12,000. His opponent thought for a moment before throwing in six orange chips, a raise to $30,000. Schoenfeld stacked his schips into one tall tower and pushed it into the middle. His opponent called the all-in, which was only $1,500 more than his original bet. On a board of Q 64, a player in seat five moved all in for around $34,000 chips. Montel slowly counted out a call, and pushed his chips into the middle. His opponent shows AQ, but was behind Montel's KK. The next two cards came 39, and Montel took down a massive pot. He now has around $125,000 in chips an is among the leaders. Sadly he did not offer his opponent a conciliatory free paternity test. Erik Seidel Eliminated Seidel moved all in with K 5 and was called by a player in seat three with 66. The board came J8856, Seidel did not improve and was eliminated. Johnston Doubles Short Opponent Undoubtedly figuring to at worst be in a race situation against a short stacks all-in, Berry Johsnton called with A K. Unfortunately his opponent held one of the two hands to have him dominated with the A A, and despite picking up a straight draw on a Q J 4 flop, the turn and river improved neither player and Johsnton took a small hit. De Wolfe Puts Opponent To A Decision In no-limit hold'em it always better to put your opponent to a decision than to be put to one. Roland De Wolfe put this advice into action this level when he raised his opponent all-in on a board of 7 5 2 10. De Wolfe's opponent, a PokerStars qualifier, went into the tank for minutes. This prompted another player at the table to call a clock. He eventually decided to call with K K, which put him in the lead for now, but De Wolfe's 9 8 had a lot of outs. The Q that fell on the river was one of them, and De Wolfe scooped the $25,000 pot as his opponent calmly left the table. Stacked Field Although many notable names played in yesterday's field, today may have it beat. The flop came J-4-7 with two spades so if i hit a five i'm ahead or a spade i reckon i can represent the flush.' Cassavetes came into the day with a relatively healthy chip stack. With the board showing 10 8 3 and $60,000 behind him, Cassavetes found himself all in against only one opponent. Cassavetes showed J J and said to his opponent, "you got a set of eights?" His read was spot on as his opponent turned over 8 8. The turn was the 2 and the river brought the K. Cassavetes shook his opponent's hand and exited the Amazon room.Joe Hachem, member of Team Pokerstars, was also eliminated in the early hours of day two. Hachem got all his money in on a flop of A-10-10 with A-8. His opponent in the hand called him with A-Q and when the turn and river both bricked out, the queen ended up playing. With things looking up for Sebok, he played the rush and took a stab at a point just a few hands later. Sebok made a large bet on the turn and was met with a large raise from his opponent.
