Khavin Not Happy
Jul 15, '13
The board read 3K25 when Anthony Zinno bet 12,000 into Filipp Khavin.
Khavin tanked for a long time before making a move.
Ultimately Khavin decided that he wanted to go all in, but there was a dispute about whether or not he did this the right way. The dealer was about to pull the bets in when Khavin reminded him that he had gone all in.
“I didn’t hear anything,” the dealer said.
After going back and forth the floor was called.
Zinno said that Khavin announced he was all in after he dropped the chips across the line. The player to Khavin’s left said that he heard his neighbor say all in, but he wasn’t aware of the timing in which he put his money in. The floor staff ultimately ruled that Khavin was not all in and that he would make the call.
The river brought the A and Zinno tossed in a bet worth just 5,000. Khavin called and exploded when his opponent showed A5.
“That’s a terrible ruling!” Khavin yelled as he got up from the table to blow off some steam.
Khavin is down to 34,000 while Zinno has around 150,000 after this hand.
