Hafiz Khan is all in and called by Evgeny Serebryakov. Khan shows A9 but is behind to Serebryakov's QQ. The board comes 862510 and Khan is eliminated in 9th place.

Hafiz Khan Doubles Through Carlos Mortensen

Hafiz Khan is all in for his last 65,000 and Adam Katz mini-tanks. He folds what he later claims is pocket fives and Jimmy Fricke folds as well. Fricke later claims to have held pocket threes.

Carlos Mortensen decides to call from the small blind and Khan shows pocket eights. Mortensen shows AJ and they're off to the races. The board comes 763310 and Khan doubles up to 140,000. Fricke would have made quads.

Will Failla Almost Gets Away

Facing a decision on an K-10-8-rag-rag board, Will Failla goes into the tank. His 10,000 bet has been raised to 35,000 by Hafiz Khan and he's considering laying down a set of eights on this non-flushed, non-straightened board.

After another minute or so, he calls and Khan shows him a set of tens to take the huge pot of nearly 85,000.

Failla's luck hasn't been too bad thus far at the Caesars Poker Classic. He recently won Event no. 12, Heads Up No-Limit Hold'em, beating out a field of 128.

Before the Bubble Blow Outs

Tony Cascarino went all-in with A-7 against pocket sixes and the board came down 10-9-8-8-K.  And with that there is no longer any sports stars in this year's main event.

Kathy Liebert went up against Sorel Mizzi two before the bubble. Liebert was all-in with 22,400, Mizzi calls and reveals A Q and Liebert shows jacks. The board fell A 6 3 K Q  and Liebert hit the rail. Mizzi chipped back up and seems in form this evening.

Hafiz Khan was very unlucky. First he was crippled holding fives by Joe Elpayaa with aces, and then he went out on the bubble holding jacks versus kings. Despite the fact the one spanish player left, Javier Dominguez in the tournament only had one big blind left.
