Level 6 Update: Shannon Elizabeth Moving on UpNov 13, '10 Blinds: 200-400 with a 50 ante Players Remaining: 266 (Approximate) Eliminations: Victor Ramdin Big Hands Shannon Elizabeth Makes a Nice River Bet There was 3,500 in the pot and a board of 10 10 2 3 sitting on the table when Shannon Elizabeth bet 2,500 from the cutoff. The big blind went into the tank and then raised to 6,100. Elizabeth thought for a little bit and then made the call. The river fell 10 and Elizabeth put in a bet that big enough to put her opponent all in. He decided to muck and Elizabeth won the pot to grow her stack above 40,000. Victor Ramdin Eliminated Victor Ramdin and Jamie Rosen have been battling for most of the day, but Rosen just had the last laugh. Ramdin got the last of his chips into the middle on the turn, but he quickly found out that it was all over for him when the two players flipped over their cards: Ramdin: A 8 Board: A A 10 8 8 Ramdin was eliminated after the hand. Faraz Jaka Takes a Hit The hijack bet 1,000 and Faraz Jaka made the call from the big blind. The flop fell 6 3 3 and the hijack bet 1,500. Jaka made the call and then both players checked the K on the turn. The A followed on the river and Jaka bet 3,200. The hijack raised to 12,100 and Jaka went into the tank for a few minutes. He eventually made the call but his opponent flipped over K 8 for the flush. Jaka was knocked down to 32,000 after the hand. A recent hand saw Maria Ho bet 500 from the hijack on a 8 6 2 flop. Isaac Baron made the call from the cutoff and the 7 fell on the turn. Ho checked, Baron bet 2,200, and after some thought Ho mucked. Ramdin vs. Rosen Again Joe Bartholdi (cutoff), Jamie Rosen (small blind), and Victor Ramdin (big blind) all bought a 600-chip ticket to see a flop of K Q 2. They all checked and the turn fell 5. Ramdin bet 1,200 and Bartholdi mucked. Rosen made the call and the river fell 7. Ramdin bet 2,500 and Rosen made a reluctant call. He quickly mucked when Ramdin flipped over K 4 to win the hand. Saul Grabs Some Quick Chips Four players checked a limped flop of 10 9 9 and the 4 followed on the turn. Kevin Saul then opened the action for 500 from the small blind and Steve Sung mucked from the big blind. UTG made the call and the button mucked. The river brought the 9 and Saul fired out another 600. His opponent mucked and Saul added a couple thousand to his stack. He is still fighting to get back to a starting stack after a slow start. Jason Senti Chips Up There was a flop that read A 7 5 when Jason Senti bet 1,225 from the cutoff. The small blind made the call, leaving himself 9,000 behind, and then both players checked the 4 on the turn. The 3 fell on the river. The small blind checked and Senti fired out 2,100. The small blind hemmed and hawed for a few moments and tossed in the chips for a call. Senti flipped over 4 3 for the “Ugly two pair,” as he put it and grew his stack above where he started today with 30,000. Their cards: Fish: Q Q Board: 6 4 3 8 9 The river fell like a dagger and Fish was eliminated from the tournament by the two pair of his opponent. Ramdin vs. Rosen A limped pot and a flop of A 10 10 sat on the table when Victor Ramdin bet 300 under the gun. Jamie Rosen made the check-call on the small blind and the 3 fell on the turn. Ramdin bet 800 and Rosen check called again. The river fell J and Ramdin opened the action again, this time for 3,000, but Rosen mucked his cards. Leah Abandons Ship There was 1,700 in the pot and a board of J 10 9 5 sat on the table when Mike Leah bet 1,100 from the big blind. The cutoff made the call and the button made an all-in call on a short stack. The 7 fell on the river and Leah checked. The cutoff fired out 2,625 and the button started to get out of his chair. Leah decided to muck and the cutoff flipped over 10 8. The cutoff mucked and exited the tournament area. The board read 9775 and Isaac Haxton made the call. Haxton: A7 Haxton had trips but his opponent had a full house and the river bricked with the 8 and Haxton was down to 5,500. Rosen Jumped By Gang Of Ducks Picking up the action after the board had run out 98252, Jamie Rosen bet 5,000. His opponent then moved all in for 9,675 and Rosen made the call. Rosen turned over A10 for the nut-flush but his opponent had the real nuts, turning over 22 for quads. Rosen surrendered the pot and he was at 40,000.
