 Ben Palmer Ben Palmer spent the long dinner break as the tournament’s shortest stack, but he’s since doubled up after winning a coin flip.
Scott Clements raised to 8,000 and Palmer shoved for 17,500. Clements was priced in and called with 98, which he was happy was live against Palmer’s 77.
The board ran out Q72105 and Palmer doubled up with his set of sevens.
“What a turn card,” said Paul Volpe.
Palmer is now up to about 40,000.

Nguyen took some time before reraising to 11,000 and Laplante folded. Palmer then moved all-in, and Nguyen looked disgusted.
Nguyen only had 8,700 behind, but he was clearly having second thoughts about the hand. He ultimately decided that he was priced in, and made the call with AK.
Palmer showed him the bad news with AA and Nguyen never got a sweat on a jack-high board. Palmer now has 47,000 in chips.

Based on the bets in front of the players, it appeared as though Eyal Al Revah raised to 4,700 from the hijack and was called by the button and the small blind before Ben Palmer three-bet to 27,400.
Al Revah called, and the button and small blind got out of the way. The flop fell A62, and Palmer checked.
Al Revah grabbed his remaining blue chips, added a bit of white, and plopped down a bet of 39,000 on the felt. Palmer went into the tank, deciding on what to do with his last 100,000 or so.
After almost two minutes, Palmer folded. As he scooped the pot, Al Revah couldn’t help but show the table that he had gotten away with a bluff, turning over K5.
Al Revah has taken a few hits the last couple of levels, but he’s back up to 280,000.

The flop came down 1086, and Palmer went into the tank. Palmer was clearly hoping for another player to bust at another table, giving him the next pay jump, but David Sands was on top of it, calling the clock.
Palmer checked, and Tsang bet enough to put Palmer at risk. Palmer eventually called with AK, and had to connect to stay alive against Tsang’s JJ.
The turn and river fell 10J and Palmer was eliminated. The players are now down to the final two tables.

Martov bets 50,000, Chae raises to 200,000 and Martov calls. The turn is the 3 and Martov announces he is all in for 246,000.
Chae takes a few moments to think things over before making the call. Martov flips over JJ and is way ahead of Chae’s 88.

According to Merrifield, the unknown tried a four-bet squeeze from the cutoff with pocket fours. Merrifield moved in with pocket queens and they held to give him a stack of 75,000.
Kathy Liebert Trips Up
Kathy Liebert, who has had a big year both on the World Poker Tour and at the World Series of Poker, made a set of tens work for her in the second level to increase her stack to 79,000.
Ben "ShankingYou" Palmer Wins Big With Set
