We’ve discovered we have a husband and wife team in the field today. Frank and Kim Schanico are both playing – and still very much alive – in Day 1B.
Kim is seated at Table 1 and Frank is seated at Table 14.

The big blind raised to 1,200 and Spyros Malkotsis called from middle position. Kim Schinco called from the cutoff and the three saw a flop of 9

3. The big blind bet 2,800, Malktosis got out of the way and Schinco called. The turn was the K and the big blind bet 4,800 and Schinco called again. The river was the 8 and the big blind checked. Schinco took charge and fired out a bet of 10,000 and the big blind thought for a bit.
“I don’t want to pay you off with a flush. It’s either a flush or a set or I win,” the big blind said. “You are such a nice lady, you deserve it.”
The big blind called and Schinco showed Jack-Ten of diamonds for the rivered flush.

Schinco Runs Into Quads

The board read KJK
K when we noticed that Kim Schinco was all in for her tournament life. Schinco had about 25,000 chips left and the showdown we witnessed was a great one.
Bob Gilbert showed K
Q for quads but Schinco was not drawing dead holding 109 for a inside straight flush draw.
The river brought the 9 and Schinco did not hit her miracle hand and she was knocked out.
