The world was introduced to the outspoken but always friendly Pham when he made a World Poker Tour televised final table at the 2005 Mirage Poker Showdown. After somewhat of a roller coaster final table, Pham exited in fourth place but left an impression on the viewing audience.
Having escaped from war-torn Vietnam, it is in his nature to be a gambler at the table, and he is not afraid to let his opponents know. His skill and gamble got him his first major title at the 2005 World Series of Poker circuit event at Paris/Bally's Las Vegas. Pham nearly claimed another major event at the 2007 Caesars Palace Classic but narrowly missed by finishing second. His efforts awarded him more than $480,000.
