Last Hand of Day 1A
Apr 18, '09
The clock was paused as the last five hands of the PokerStars.com EPT San Remo Day 1A played out.
A player who saw some action in the final hand of the night was Jesper Hougaard's brother Lars. Hougaard junior in middle position had his opponent's all in covered, and he flipped over KQ, but found himself up against AA.
The board played out J9493 and Hougaard suffered a small dent to his stack. He goes into day 2 with 7,000 - but then again that is better than his bracelet holding brother who busted late session.
The board says 222 players remain - a massive drop from the 578 who started the day.
Another batch of hopefuls hit the floor tomorrow same place, same time for day 1B - and then we will see some final figures on the number of entrants and the prize pool. Either way, it is sure to be a groundbreaking EPT event.
