Irish Keep Rocking It
Oct 01, '10
The Irish contingent are doing pretty well here in the main event. Femi Fakinle is one of the chip leaders and is competing with German Benny Spindler for the top spot. On a flop of 8 6 3 flop, Fakinle bets 8,600 from mid-position. The button makes it 21,200 and Fakinle moves all in. His opponent thinks for a few moments and then folds. His stack is dangerously low.
A few minutes later, he hits the rail however at the hands of another player when his pocket tens were crushed by A-3 (which hit an ace on the flop).
Fakinle’s stack is an intimidating presence at the table as he now has more than 430,000.

Fakinle Trips Over
Oct 02, '10
With 74,500 in the pot and a board of 6 3 3 Ax showing, Femi Fakinle bets 32,000. Gordon Huntley then shoves for the best part of 100,000 and Fakinle takes off his shades and sits forward. After a few moments thought he calls and shows A 8 but “ooohs” and “aaahs” can be heard all around as Huntley reveals K 3 for trips. The river came the 10 and Fakinle takes a big hit to under 50,000.
