He had to come back from a very short stack on day 1 to end up on top of the 803-player field, which was believed to be the biggest H.O.R.S.E. tournament in history at the time. He was awarded more than $256,000 for the win. Schaaf works as a software engineer and specializes in designing and manufacturing automobile navigation systems.
