Player Tags: Taylor Paur Taylor Paur Doubles Through Dan O'BrienDec 09, '17 Taylor Paur raised in middle position to 2,200 and was three-bet to 6,000 by Dan O’Brien on his immediate left. The blinds folded and Paur moved all-in for 37,900. O’Brien immediately called with 1010 and was flipping against the AK of Paur. O’Brien was looking good for the knockout on a board of J84Q until the K on the river paired Paur to double him to about 78,000 in chips. O’Brien was left with 62,000. Player Tags: Taylor Paur, Dan O'Brien Jim Carroll Eliminates Taylor Paur On The BubbleDec 10, '17 Jim Carroll raised from the cutoff and Taylor Paur three-bet to 53,000 from the big blinds. Carroll quickly called and the flop came down 1074. Paur took his time, counting out the rest of his stack, which appeared to be almost 200,000. Eventually, he bet a little over 40,000. Carroll quickly said he was all-in, and Paur immediately put in the rest of his stack. Because of hand-for-hand play rules, the players couldn’t reveal their hole cards until the action was complete on the other tables. “Do you have the flush?” asked Carroll. “No, he has aces with the ace of diamonds,” replied Mike Dentale, who is also at the table. Paur gave a wink at Dentale for his read, and once given the okay by the tournament director, he indeed turned over AA for an overpair and the nut flush draw. Carroll showed 1010, however, for a set, and his hand held as the turn and river fell Q8. Paur exited the tournament area as the tournament’s official bubble, while the rest of the field is now guaranteed at least $7,106. Carroll now has 920,000 in chips.
