David Sutherland got all in short twice during the early going on Day 2, and both times he survived to kick off a slow start to action on the final day of the tournament.
In the first hand his pocket eights held against the AJ of Ankush Mandavia on a final board dealt 933K4. Sutherland was all in for 16,000 to take his stack up to 57,000, and Mandavia was at 281,000 after the hand.
A little while later Sutherland was all in again, this time from the button for 32,000 with A10 in the hole. Mitchell Halverson was all but forced to call the very short shove from his spot on the big blind with 95. The board ran out AK94K, and Sutherland doubled up again, this time for 89,000. Halverson was left with 72,000 after the hand.
