Level 5 Update -- Moorman Has Work To DoOct 02, '09 Blinds: 150-300 with a 25 ante Players Remaining: 255 out of 305 (Unofficial) Average Chip Count: 36,000 Notable Eliminations: Joep van den Bijgaart Hand of the Level: A Tense Situation For Moorman Chris “Moorman1” Moorman played a tough hand against a very deep stacked opponent to close out the level. Moorman raised to 900 and the aforementioned player on the button reraised to 3,000. Moorman thought for a bit before making the call and the flop came out 662. Moorman checked, his opponent bet 6,250 and Moorman called. The turn was the K and his opponent bet 12,300. Moorman thought for a long while before calling and the river was the A. Moorman checked and his opponent picked up a big stack of yellows, asking the young online superstar how much he had left. Moorman announced a stack of 28,000 and the button decided to check behind, showing K10. Moorman could only shake his head in disgust, flashing the 10, implying he had pocket tens and was three-outered on the turn. Left In The Deck: Carter Phillips Sits With Tough Company The most recent EPT Champion, Carter Phillips is having a rough day. Perhaps he’s a bit hampered by the two pros on his immediate left, not allowing to take advantage of the weaker players at the table. To his left is Johan “busto soon” Van Til and then Erik Seidel. Thing has better change soon for the young pro, because he’s already lost half of his starting stack, putting his bid for back-to-back wins in jeopardy. Player Tags: Chris Moorman, Carter Phillips |
