Scott Clements limped into the pot from the button and Daniel Alaei completed from the small blind. Ben Boyd checked and the flop was dealt JSpade Suit5Heart Suit2Club Suit. Alaei bet 80,000 and Boyd moved all in for an additional 10,000. Both Clements and Alaei made the call and they both checked the KHeart Suit on the turn. Monnette fired 25,000 and Clements raised to 50,000. Monnette three-bet to 75,000 and Clements just called. The turn was the KClub Suit and the pot exploded.

Clements led out with 50,000 and Monnette raised to 100,000. Clements flexed his muscle with a third bet to 150,000 and Monnette capped the betting at 200,000. Although there was a possibility for someone to make a low hand, none of the players had the five card combination required and Khouiss scooped the pot with his full house. Wahlbeck was shown the door in 13th place.

Duke Drops A Big Pot

On a board reading 10Diamond Suit5Diamond Suit7Club SuitQDiamond Suit, Tom Koral moved all of his chips into the middle against Annie Duke. She made the call and both players showed down their hands.

Koral was ahead with just a pair of sevens, besting Duke’s pair of fives. He also had the nut low draw so Duke needed to pair another one of her cards to at least chop the pot. Instead, the river paired the board as the QSpade Suit dropped and Koral doubled up to almost 250,000. Duke was down to under 80,000 in chips.
