Freddy Deeb raised to 400,000 from under the gun and Tommy Vedes reraised to 1,250,000 from the button.

Deeb announced all in and Vedes called off the rest of his stack with pocket queens. Deeb showed pocket kings and was in great shape to take out Vedes, but the board ran out JClub Suit9Club Suit5Spade Suit6Heart SuitQClub Suit and Vedes spiked a queen on the river to double up to the chip lead with 6.25 million. Deeb is now the short stack with less than 2 million.

Tommy Vedes Hits Four-Outer To Survive

Craig Crivello raised to 240,000 from under the gun and Freddy Deeb called in middle position.

Shawn Cunix then called from the button, Tommy Vedes called from the small blind and Jason Lavallee called from the big blind. Phew!

The flop came down KDiamond SuitQClub Suit6Heart Suit and everyone checked to Cunix who bet 720,000. Vedes moved all in for 1.3 million and change and everyone else got out of the way.

Cunix called with 6Club Suit6Diamond Suit for bottom set and Vedes showed KHeart SuitQDiamond Suit for top two pair.

Needing a four-outer to stay alive, Vedes came through when the KClub Suit5Club Suit hit the turn and river, filling his hand to give him a higher full house.

Vedes now has 3.9 million and Cunix is crippled down to 610,000.

The flop came down JSpade Suit9Heart Suit6Club Suit and Vedes checked to Lavallee who continued with a bet of 280,000.

Vedes called and the turn was the 3Diamond Suit. Vedes checked, Lavallee bet 520,000 and Vedes called.

The river was the KDiamond Suit and Vedes checked once again. Lavallee thought it over, bet 850,000 and scooped the pot when Vedes mucked.

Lavallee now has 4.3 million and Vedes is among the shorter stacks with 1.5 million.
