After a few relatively small pots that went Dan Kelly’s way, Kelly had amassed a small chip lead heads-up
Dan Kelly raised to 200,000 from the button and Shawn Buchanan three-bet to 650,000 from the big blind. Kelly four-bet to 1,425,000 and Buchanan moved all-in after asking Kelly how much he had behind. Kelly made the call and turned over A10 and Buchanan held JJ.
The flop came 643, keeping Buchanan in the lead. The turn was the 5 and Kelly gained some outs for a chop. He did better than a chop as the A hit the river and Kelly was able to take the whole pot and the title, along with $1,315,581.
Buchanan made his largest career cash with his second place finish with his $812,941 second place parting gift.

Buchanan Gets Over the Four Million Mark
Shawn Buchanan raised to 175,000 from the button and Dan Kelly three-bet from the big blind to 480,000. Buchanan made the call and they saw a flop of 267 and Kelly bet out 365,00.
After a few minutes of thought, Buchanan raised to 770,000 and Kelly folded quickly with a frown.
Buchanan Bluffs Kassela
Frank Kassela raised to 175,000 from the button and Shawn Buchanan three-bet to 535,000 from the big blind and was called by Kassela.
The flop came J106 and both players checked. The turn was the 2 and Buchanan bet 425,000 which was called by Kassela. The river brought the 5 and Buchanan fired 1,060,000, which caused Kassela to fold.
Buchanan showed K3 and is up to 5,200,000.
Frank Kassela Eliminated in Third Place ($556,053)
Shawn Buchanan completed the small blind and Frank Kassela checked the big blind. The flop came Q43 and Buchanan check-raised Kassela’s 80,000 bet to 260,000. Kassela then made it 710,000 and Buchanan tossed in a call.
The turn was the 10 and Buchanan checked again. Kassela bet 1,000,000 and Buchanan moved all-in. Kassela made the call and the cards were turned up.
Buchanan showed 56, giving him an open-ended straight draw and Kassela showed Q3, giving him two pair. Kassela sprung back in his chair when he saw Buchanan’s hand and was even more shocked when the 2 hit the river to give Buchanan his straight.
Buchanan is now heads-up with Dan Kelly with a slight chip lead for the bracelet and the first place money.

Dan Kelly raised to 125,000 under-the-gun and Mikael Thuritz called on the button and Jason Somerville called from the big blind.
The flop came out 9J4 and Somerville and Kelly checked. Thuritz took this opportunity to bet 220,000. Somerville released quickly, but after some thought and neck rolls, Kelly raised to 600,000. Thuritz quickly moved all-in and Kelly called just as quickly.
Kelly showed 56, giving him a flush draw and Thuritz was ahead with AJ.
The 7 fell on the turn, giving Kelly a straight draw along with his flush draw, and the 8 on the river completed both of those draws, giving Kelly the pot and is up to 7,500,000 in chips.
Kassela Continues Aggression
Frank Kassela raised from the cutoff to 140,000 and Dan Kelly called from the small blind.
The flop was A43 and Kelly check-called a bet of 180,000 from Kassela. Both players checked the 7 on the turn.
The 8 came on the river and Kelly bet out 400,000 and Kassela raised to 1,025,000. Kelly eventually threw his hand away and Kassela showed A10.
Kassela Holds Over Kelly
Frank Kassela raised to 140,000 from the button and Dan Kelly called from the big blind.
The fop was A98 and both players checked. The turn was the 4 and Kelly bet 165,000. Kassela called and the the J hit on the river. Kelly checked and Kassela bet 275,000, which drew a fold from Kelly.
Jason Somerville Eliminated ($386,125)
Frank Kassela raised to 140,000 and Jason Somerville moved all-in for 1,100,000. Dan Kelly folded, and Shawn Buchanan thought for a while before moving all-in over the top. Kassela got out of the way and Buchanan turned over AA.
Somerville was in bad shape when he showed AJ. The flop came K54 and when the 5 came on the turn, Somerville was officially drawing dead.
Somerville headed for the exits and Buchanan is up to 3,900,000.

It was a classic race situation when Kelly showed his 66 against Kathalov’s QJ. The flop was Q43, giving Kelly the best hand.
The J on the turn kept Kelly in the lead and the 4 on the river sealed the hand for Kelly and eliminated Katchalov. Kelly is now up over 6,000,000.
Buchanan Takes One off of Kelly
Dan Kelly raised to 125,000 from the small blind and was called by Shawn Buchanan in the big blind.
The flop was A102 and Kelly bet 150,000 and was called by Buchanan. Both players checked the J and the 4 and Buchanan took the pot showing his 108.
Four-Bet for Frank
Frank Kassela raised to 125,000 from the button and Dan Kelly made it 350,000 out of the big blind. Kassela made it 650,000 and Kelly eventually tossed his hand into the muck.
A few hands later he took a more cautious route as he bet one street with top pair against Jason Somerville and took it down.
He is up to 3,360,000 with those two pots.
