Sam Trickett Wins $100,000 Challenge ($1,525,000) -- Tony Bloom Eliminated in Second Place ($975,000)

Tony BloomOn the final hand in the $100,000 Challenge, Tony Bloom got the last of his chips into the middle preflop and Sam Trickett made the call. Their cards:

Bloom was eliminated on the hand in second place and the former Aussie Millions champion took home $975,000 in prize money. Trickett completed a strong run in the tournament where he was the chip leader for most of the way by closing things out with a victory.

Trickett was awarded $1,525,000 in prize money, which takes his career earnings above $3 million. This concludes our coverage from the $100,000 Challenge. Sam Trickett has pulled way out in front in the heads-up match and he now holds 3 million to the 800,000 of Bloom.

 

Erik Seidel Eliminated in Third Place ($625,000)

Erik SeidelThe three-handed spell that has presided over the $100,000 Challenge for the last couple of hours has been broken. The tournament got down to the final heads-up match when Erik Seidel decided to move all in with a flop of JDiamond Suit 9Club Suit 3Diamond Suit sitting on the table. Tony Bloom made the call and the two player flipped over their cards:

Bloom won the hand to grow his stack heading into the heads-up final and Seidel was eliminated in third place. He took home $625,000 in prize money.
