Jason Somerville came to the final heads-up match with a chip lead of 5.2 million to Yashar Darian’s 4.25 million. Somerville steamrolled through Level 27, eliminating Alexander Martin in 5th place, Richard Fridvalszki in 4th, Travis Atkins in 3rd, and in a similar speedy fashion, Somerville ended the heads-up match victorious, and in only one hand.

Somerville Doubles Through Darian, Takes Chip Lead
Richard Fridvalszki opened the pot for 140,000 from under the gun, Yashar Darian reraised to 500,000 from the button, Jason Somerville shoved for 2.5 million, Fridvalszki folded and Darian called.
Somerville turned over 9 9 for the lead while Darian showed A K for the draw.
The board came J J J Q 5, giving Somerville a full house on the flop. Somerville doubled up to over 5 million this hand, taking the chip lead from Darian who was left with just 1.5 million.
Darian Takes It Back
Shortly after Jason Somerville doubled through Yashar Darian for the chip lead at the beginning of the level, Darian got right back to work building his stack back up. He won two big pots off of Travis Atkins and Richard Fridvalszki, affording him the chip lead once again, leaving both of them on the short stacks.
