The chip counts were virtually even heading into the final level of play, but the big stack was traded back and forth a bit before Kenny Hsiung regained the chip lead for the final time. Hsiung had Hwang down to just 250,000 on the final and of the night.
Kenny hsiung opened the button for 100,000 and Robert Hwang called from the big blind.

Hwang Takes the Lead
Kenny Hsiung entered heads-up play with a more than 3:1 chip lead over Robert Hwang, but gave it up about halfway through the level as Hwang managed to chip and putt his way into the lead. Hwang won a big showdown this past level with full house that put him in the lead with about 1.2 million as Hsiung fell down to the short stack with just over 1 million. Hwang further extend his lead towards the end of the level, claiming a more than 4:1 chip lead over Hsiung before Hsiung mounted a comeback that would put him back in contention as the level came to an end.
Hsiung doubled up at the end of the level after getting it all in on the turn on a board of J1069 with 109 for two pair against Hwang’s top pair with AJ.
The river was the 2 and Hsiung doubled up to just over 900,00 that hand, narrowing the gap with Hwang.
