Mark Seif Wins Event #15 ($1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout)

Bill Shaw is short stacked and all in with 9d-3h, and he's up against Mark Seif's Ks-Qs. The flop comes Ad-Jc-2c, and Shaw needs to catch a three or a nine to stay alive. Seif calls for a ten (to give him a straight), and sure enough, the 10s fell on the turn. Shaw was now drawing dead. (The meaningless river card was the 7c.) Bill Shaw is eliminated in second place, earning $93,770.

Alex Borteh Eliminated in Third Place ($46,885)

Alex Borteh loses a very big pot to Mark Seif, and suddenly finds himself with just $8,000 in chips. He pushes all in on the next hand, and he's up against Seif and Shaw. The flop comes Qd-9c-7h, and Seif bets out with 10s-9s (pair of nines). Shaw folds, but Borteh has the lead with Ah-Qs (pair of queens). The last two cards come As-Kd, and Borteh triples up to $24,000.

Soon after, he's all in against Mark Seif on a flop of Ah-Qs-4d. Borteh has Jd-9s, and Seif has Kc-5s. Neither has a pair, but Seif has the lead with king high. The turn card is the Ac, and Borteh needs to catch a nine or a jack to stay alive. The river card is the 7d, and Alex Borteh is eliminated in third place, earning $46,885.

The next player eliminated will receive $93,770 for second place, while the winner will earn $181,330.
