Todd Witteles Wins Event #36 ($3,000 Limit Hold'em)

Todd Witteles wins Event #36 ($3,000 Limit Hold'em), earning $347,385 and a coveted World Series of Poker bracelet. Daryl Mixan finishes in second place, earning $179,290.

Todd Witteles Wins

With the limits increased, this was going to end very soon. After a board of K-8-7-10, Daryl Mixan was all in for his last $25,000. Both players three bet preflop, and three bet on the flop. Yet, on the turn is where the final money went in. Witteles had two pair 10-7, and Mixan had top pair with his K-6. Mixan needed help to stay alive. A 8,9,K, or a 6 would have been enough. The river though was a Q and Daryl Mixan was eliminated. Mixan earns $179,290 for his efforts and his 2nd place finish. Witteles on the other hand wins $347,385 and a gold bracelet for his victory.
