Las Vegas is home to some of the greatest casinos in the world, and when it comes to poker, the action is great at the Station Casinos properties, which are located throughout the Las Vegas valley. A wide variety of games, superior service, and casual, comfortable environments can be found in the Station Casinos' four poker rooms at Sunset Station, Palace Station, Boulder Station, and Texas Station.

Station Casinos $100,000 Poker Plus Tournament

The next Station Casinos $100,000 Poker Plus Tournament will be held in the beautiful Dallas Events Center at Texas Station in May of 2002. Players may qualify for the tournament by playing 50 hours of live-action poker at any of the Station Casinos poker rooms during March and April 2002. Later in 2002, players may qualify during September and October for the November $100,000 Poker Plus Tournament, again at Texas Station.

More than 1,400 players will participate in each of these very successful poker tournaments. First place will be a guaranteed $50,000, quite a jump from this year's $20,000 first prize.

Tournament information is available to all interested poker players in any of the Station Casinos poker rooms.

Sunset Station Poker

The Sunset Station poker room features unique architecture and great service, and is the only four-star poker room in Las Vegas, as awarded by the Bad Poker Players Association of America.

The poker room has 12 tables and offers a variety of games, including $3-$6-$9 Texas hold'em, $3-$6-$9 Omaha high, and $1-$5 seven-card stud. The room also features bad-beat jackpots, which currently are in excess of $40,000 for Texas hold'em.

Free meal coupons are offered for three hours of live-action poker play, and "winner take all" tournaments are held at 10 a.m. every Monday through Thursday with a $15 buy-in and no rebuys. The poker room also features free giveaways for poker players. During November, for example, a great-looking fleece vest is being given away for 30 hours of live-action play.

And Sunset Station offers much more than great poker action. Voted the "Best Locals Casino" four years in a row in the Las Vegas Review-Journal readers poll, Sunset Station is a crowd favorite for its variety of dining choices, action-packed gaming, and nonstop entertainment. Club Madrid features live concerts and shows, and many popular bands have taken the stage in the Sunset Amphitheatre. Whether you're in the mood for an elegant steak dinner, a movie, a live concert, or some great gaming, Sunset Station has everything under the sun.

Palace Station Poker

Palace Station – a Las Vegas favorite for more than 25 years – also offers great poker action. The poker room features nine tables and a wide variety of games: $3-$6 Omaha high-low split with a half-kill, $4-$8 hold'em with a half-kill, $3-$6 seven-card stud high-low split with a half-kill, and $1-$5 seven-card stud.

Bad-beat jackpots for seven-card stud and hold'em are currently in excess of $40,000, and bad-beat bonus hours put thousands of dollars in additional prize money up for grabs. Other special promotions include Ladies Hold'em, No-Limit Hold'em, and Saturday Omaha High. The Palace Station poker room has a liberal comp policy, in which two hours of play earns a player a free meal.

Boulder Station Poker

On the east side of town, Boulder Station's poker room features nine tables and games such as $4-$8-$8 Texas hold'em with a half-kill and $4-$8-$8 Omaha high. Currently, Boulder's bad-beat jackpot is in excess of $50,000, and poker players are provided liberal comps for their play.

Texas Station Poker

The Texas Station poker room has nine tables and offers $4-$8 hold'em with a half-kill, $1-$5 seven-card stud, $3-$6 Omaha, and more. The poker room also features a high-hand promotion, in which players can qualify for bonus payouts. With its many fine restaurants, movie theaters, bars and lounges and gaming alternatives, Texas Station is a favorite of players on the west side of Las Vegas.

If you love live-action poker, there's a Station Casino waiting for you. Comfortable poker rooms, a variety of tournaments, liberal comps, and great service make the Station Casinos properties an excellent choice for poker.diamonds
