If you don't like waiting till the
World Series of Poker hits the airwaves, I hope you've been checking our CardPlayer.com expanded coverage from all of this summer's biggest tournaments.
We redesigned our site to act as your poker hub for the 2007
World Series of Poker and the 2007
Bellagio Cup III. At CardPlayer.com, you can find updates, reports, chip counts, videos, interviews, results, and more from all 55 events of the
World Series of Poker and the
Bellagio Cup III's 28 events.
In addition, we recently launched two new online reporting features that will greatly enhance the level of strategic analysis from these events: Pro Blogs and the
Card Player Hand Replayer. We hope that these tools help you as a player improve your game by being able to study and read about real-hand situations.
Pro Blogs are regular daily blog updates that are written from each event.
Card Player tracks and interviews well-known players on tournament breaks. These interviews focus on real-time hands and strategies and situations at the table, and really tap into the thinking and decisions involved in a big buy-in poker event.
The second feature is the
Card Player Hand Replayer. I am very excited about this, as it takes our Tournament Hand Matchups - which I enjoy writing, because it helps me improve my own game - to the next level. The Hand Replayer offers CardPlayer.com users a Web application that lets you plug in real-life situations (cards, bets, action, and so on) and share them with friends on the Web. During the
WSOP, we're plucking the biggest hands from the events, inputting them to the Replayer, and asking poker pros to provide their analysis of the play. It's a great learning tool.
Also, be sure to check out our expanded multimedia coverage.
Card Player TV added a ton of staff to beef up its poker news, strategy, and entertainment offerings this summer. We have two daily news shows that include player interviews and hand analysis from top poker pros, as well as a daily show dedicated to just strategy and commentary. The
Card Player digital team also will be hustling around Vegas to bring you more lifestyle pieces, providing you a glimpse of your favorite poker pros away from the table.
Now, on to this issue. Erick Lindgren is not only a great poker player, but also one of the biggest action junkies in Vegas. He's won more than $5.5 million in poker tournaments in his career, including nearly $1 million in the $100,000 buy-in event at the
Aussie Millions in January. Michael Kaplan continues his "Men of Action" series with E-Dog in this issue.
Enjoy this issue, and count on
Card Player as your source for all
WSOP and other summer poker news starting in the next issue.
