A new name will soon be added to the list of Card Player Poker Tour champions hailing from Choctaw Resort Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. The tour will return to the famous Oklahoma casino Apr. 2-12 for the fourth time since the inaugural stop, which saw Maxx Dansky win more than $153,000 in 2012.

Other winners of the CPPT Choctaw include Mohammad Arani ($220,626) and Austin Lewis ($183,028).

Hosting some of the most successful tournaments in the region, Choctaw Resort Casino, is home to not only the CPPT, but World Series of Poker Circuit stops and will host its first World Poker Tour stop during the summer of 2015.

With three stops already in the history books, CPPT Choctaw has awarded more than $2.7 million in main event prize money, hosted 122 individual tournaments not including satellites, and paid out more than $556,600 to main event winners.

Choctaw has also been extremely successful when hosting WSOPC events, brining in a main event prize pool of $1,710,000 during the 2012-2013 season and a $2,142,200 prize pool for the 2013-2014 season. Jeffrey Fielder and Tyler Morris each left with more than $300,000 for their respective WSOPC Choctaw wins.

In January of this year, Ray Henson defeated T.J. Cloutier heads-up in the largest WSOPC event in tour history, earning $197,588 for topping a massive field of 4,053 entrants.
The closest major resort to the Dallas metropolitan area, Choctaw Casino Resort provides guests with an array of amenities including four lodging options, a world-class spa and pool area, and multiple dinning options.

For accommodations, guests can chose from the Choctaw Grand Tower, the Choctaw Inn, the Choctaw Lodge or the Choctaw RV Park.

The Grand Tower captures all the excitement and entertainment closest to the casino floor with luxuriously-appointed rooms and suites. Guests have access to the pools, business center and fitness and wellness center, free in-room wi-fi and in-room coffee service. The Choctaw Inn offers an inviting, cozy environment with access to all of the casino’s amenities.

The Choctaw Lodge is just a short shuttle ride down the road and offers 24-hour front desk service, business services, and a complimentary breakfast buffet. Guests traveling with pets will also find animal-friendly amenities at the Choctaw Lodge.

Guests who prefer their own accommodations can opt to stay at the Choctaw RV Park, a Kampgrounds of America (KOA) park near the casino. Each RV location includes a covered table and grill, nearby gathering spaces, a pool, shows, and beverage center.

Players using the code Card15 are able to book standard rooms in the Grand Tower or at the Choctaw Inn or Lodge for as low as $79 per night from Apr. 2-12.

Inside the casino, patrons are treated to an exceptional gaming experience with more than 3,500 slot machines, table games including three card poker, blackjack, let it ride, ultimate Texas hold’em, pai gow, mini baccarat, roulette, and craps. Thursday through Sunday the party gets started at Gilley’s Party Pit, located just in front of the famed Western-styled restaurant.

Aside from Gilley’s, guests can chose from a wide variety of dining options, including 1832 Steakhouse, Butterfields Buffet, Red Dragon Asian Café, Smashburger, and Jackpot Java to name a few.

The action heats up daily and nightly in the poker room, a 30-table private lounge located on its own exclusive floor away from the hustle and bustle of the main casino. The room includes its own dedicated staff and guest services agents, who work to ensure an enjoyable experience for all players. ♠
