Scott “urnotindangr” Palmer helped slow down Prahlad “Prefontaine” Friedman’s recent upswing by having a lucrative session on PokerStars late last week.
Palmer and Friedman sat down at the virtual felt for some $50-$100 no-limit hold’em action. The session helped give Palmer a profit of more than $200,000 for the week.
Most of Palmer’s winnings came from a massive 1,172-big-blind pot that went went his way.

The confrontation started when Palmer raised to $200 from button. Friedman three-bet to $800, and Palmer four-bet to $2,100. Friedman called, and the flop came K 8 7.
Friedman checked, and Palmer bet $2,700. Friedman check-raised to $12,800. Palmer just called, and the 5 fell on the turn. Friedman set Palmer all in for $43,737. Palmer called all in, and the hands were exposed.
According to Card Player’s Texas Hold’em odds calculator, Palmer wins about 68 percent of the time when the money goes in on the turn. Friedman picked up a flush draw and a double gut-shot straight draw when the 5 pealed off the virtual deck.
Fortunately for Palmer, the A came on the river. Palmer raked in the $117,273 pot.
