Day 2 of the PaddyPowerPoker.com Irish Winter Festival main event, the Irish Masters, played out until nearly 3 a.m. this morning as it made its way from 110 players to 18, all in the money.
Day 1’s chip leader, Rory Rees Brennan managed to stay in the top 10 with a strong end of day finish of third place on the leader board. Leading the pack on day 3 however is Irishman Seamus Quinn.
Of the 347 who turned up for the €1,650 buy-in main event, 105 had qualified via PaddyPowerPoker.com meaning they were competing with each other to be the €20,000 Sole Survivor. Day 2 saw Slovenian Tomaz Kogovsek crowned the Sole Survivor and he goes home with €10,000 in cash, and €10,000 in tournament buy-ins.

Yesterday, 47 players turned out for one of the many side events taking place over the weekend, the Blind Man’s Bluff World Championships. Pavel Pravdukhin left this unique event with the Blind Man’s Bluff trophy and a €1,985 cash prize.
