The PaddyPowerPoker.com Irish Winter Festival main event (the Irish Masters) gets underway at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin tomorrow Saturday October 27.
The three-day no-limit hold’em event has a buy in of €1,000 + €125 and will see 129 players take part in the “competition within a competition” – Six Survivors.
Six Survivors saw all online qualifiers eligible to take part in a last longest during the tournament with the winner taking down an Irish Open 2013 seat.
Tonight, Friday October 26 sees the final chance to qualify on the cheap with a €100 + 15 buy in live satellite at the venue.
The festival is famous for its unique events and fun atmosphere. This year the nine side events include the Irish Mythical Championship and a Doubles event which will see a host of big names and celebrities including Irish Olympic boxing medalists – Paddy Barnes and Michael Conlon – take part.
Last year the main event was won by John Keown who topped the 395-strong field and took home €100,000.
The event is open to all spectators to pop in, have a look, join in the fun and maybe play some poker.
