Israeli-based publicly quoted gaming operator Playtech has announced third quarter revenue for 2010.

Poker revenue generated by its online network iPoker has plummeted 30 percent to €5.7 million in the third quarter of 2010 compared to €8.2 million in the third quarter of 2009. It was also down 21 percent compared to the previous quarter from April to June 2010.

The figures follow on from a second quarter 2010 revenue decline of 13 percent in poker at the company.

In the year to date (January to end September 2010) poker revenue hit €21.5 million, down 15 percent compared to the €25.4 million achieved in the same period last year.

However the collapse of poker revenue has not affected overall revenue at Playtech which also hosts casino and bingo. This was up 17 percent to €32.5 million from €27.7 million a year earlier.
