Tom DwanThe month of October was kind for some in the online high-stakes world, and thus ugly for some others.

Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies was the biggest loser this past month, largely due to a massive loss at the hands of Tom “durrrr” Dwan in early October. Sahamies lost about $1 million to Dwan in some vicious pot-limit Omaha action.

Combined with other losses, Sahamies ended October in the red more than $1.5 million. As a result of his session with the Finnish pro, Dwan was the biggest winner this past month, finishing in the black nearly $1 million.

Others who finished up more than $500,000 in October include Andreas “Skjervoy” Torbergsen, Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, and Dan “Jungleman12” Cates.

While the early days in October featured some massive confrontations, the later periods of the month, including this past week at the start of November, were extremely quiet.

The past seven days saw only a couple pots reach six figures. Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky and luckexpress10 were able to provide some fireworks this past week at $200-$400 pot-limit Omaha on Full Tilt Poker. The duo played a session this past Friday, with Sulsky continuing to run very poorly.
