Ben 'Sauce1234' SulskyAction has continued to be very quiet recently in the online high-stakes world.

The highlight of this past week was an eight-hour match of more than 4,000 hands between Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky and Scott “UrnotINdanger2” Palmer at $100-$200 no-limit hold’em on Full Tilt Poker.

Palmer was in command for most of the lengthy battle on Monday, but Sulsky remained determined and managed to fight his way into the black, thanks in part to cracking some of Palmer’s big hands towards the end of the match.

The largest confrontation started when Sulsky had the button and raised to $600. Palmer three-bet to $2,400, and Sulsky four-bet to $5,800. Palmer threw in a five-bet to $12,000, and Sulsky called. The flop came KSpade Suit 10Club Suit 6Club Suit.

Palmer continued with $12,000, and Sulsky called. The turn brought the 3Club Suit, and Palmer put his opponent all in for slightly more than $40,000. Sulsky made the call with the 4Club Suit 2Club Suit for a turned flush. Palmer exposed the cracked AClub Suit ADiamond Suit and needed a club on the river.

Fortunately for Sulsky, the 5Diamond Suit fell on the river, and he raked in the $128,191 pot. According to Card Player’s Texas hold’em Odds Calculator, Sulsky’s hand holds up about 86 percent of the time when the money goes in on the turn. Sulsky, who has been running poorly lately in the big pots, was able to get lucky in this big confrontation.

Another one of the biggest winners so far in November has been Durrrr Challenge combatant Dan “Jungleman12” Cates. The 20-year-old poker pro is up almost $200,000 this month, thanks to some action in pot-limit Omaha. Card Player caught up briefly with Cates, who turns 21 in just four days, to talk about his stagnant match with Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

Dan 'Jungleman12' CatesBrian Pempus: What has caused the Durrrr challenge to slow down so drastically after the fast start?

Dan Cates: I am not sure honestly. Dwan says he is busy, but I am not sure if I buy it or not. It seems like he is busy with some things, like Poker After Dark. But we should be getting in some hands relatively soon.

BP: Do you think Dwan is nervous about your match?

DC: I don’t know because Dwan doesn’t seem like the type of guy that would get scared that easily. I can’t quite tell, but hopefully he is. It’s hard to be inside of Dwan’s mind. He doesn’t put a lot out there. Maybe he just doesn’t really care at all.

BP: You had a 20-minute session for the Durrrr Challenge recently. Why was it so brief?

DC: I think he just had to go to lunch and didn’t want to play a long session. He had something come up in the real world. I would rather play long, but it wasn’t really that frustrating. It’s not that big of a deal to play such a short session.

BP: What’s your schedule like now, and do you have any special plans for your 21st birthday?

DC: I am going to be in Vegas for a few days, and maybe Atlantic City after that. Other than that I am pretty free for the next month and a half. For my birthday, I am just going to party in Vegas.
