Ilari SahamiesAfter a few weeks off from the nosebleed stakes in the online world, Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies is back playing six-figure pots. In late November the Finnish pro said he was taking a short break from the game.

On Tuesday, the high-stakes regular put in a two-hour session of $300-$600 pot-limit Omaha on Full Tilt Poker. Sahamies finished in the black $120,000 against the likes of DrugsOrMe, rumprammer, Jared “harrington25” Bleznick, Gus Hansen, and Di “Urindanger” Dang.

The largest pot of the session was a cooler that went Sahamies’ way. On a flop of AHeart Suit QSpade Suit 8Spade Suit, Sahamies held two aces versus the set of eights of Dang and the set of queens of rumprammer. Top set held versus both bottom sets, and Sahamies raked in the $136,277 pot.

Other winners from this past week include IHateJuice and Isaac “philivey2694” Haxton. On Sunday, Haxton competed in the first installment of the PokerStars SuperStar Showdown against high-stakes sensation and Team PokerStars Pro Isildur1.

Haxton finished up about $40,000 in the 2,500-hand contest, which consisted of four tables of $50-$100 no-limit hold’em.

With 1,000 hands to go in the battle, Isildur1 was in the black $31,099. However, it was at this point when Haxton began to make a comeback.

The largest pot of the session occurred at the tail end of the contest. Isiludr1’s JHeart Suit 9Club Suit was out kicked by the KHeart Suit 9Heart Suit of Haxton, after both players flopped top pair. Haxton raked in the $44,000 pot after his opponent shoved on the river with the board reading 9Diamond Suit 5Heart Suit 3Diamond Suit 2Club Suit 2Heart Suit.

“I want to play [Haxton] again, because I didn’t feel he was so good,” Isildur1 said in a PokerStars press release. “I dont think he deserved to win. [Haxton] is too passive and a weak player. He did get lucky. He ran too good, and I want re-match in a game for 5,000 hands. I would beat him easily. I am certain.”
