David Vamplew Sets Sights On Next Title In Venice

David VamplewThe World Poker Tour Venice €3,000 + €300 main event has found its final eight players. Leading the way is Scottish EPT London champ, David Vamplew with over 4 million in chips.

Alessio Isaia is next in line with 2.9 million, and another familiar name at the final table is Max Lykov. The eight survivors will battle for the top prize of €380,000 from a total prize pool of €1,521,930.

With 18 players left from 523, the final eight emerged after getting rid of 10 unfortunates including Michal Polchlopek, John Tabatabai, Alessandro Speranza, and Nicolas Cardyn.

With 10 players remaining and action dragging on, the tournament director announced that there would be four more hands before end of play. The final hand saw Paolo Della Penna make his move all in after a raise from Max Lykov. Lykov made the call. It was Della pennas’s A-Q versus Lykov’s pocket sixes. The sixes held and the final table was found.
