The 2011 PokerStars European Poker Tour Copenhagen main event is another day closer to naming its champion. Day 3 brought back 73 players, but when the chips were bagged for the night there were only 24 left in contention for the top prize of DK 3.7 million (€496,271).
Sweden’s Per Linde finished the day as the tournament chip leader, holding 1,622,000 in chips. Sitting comfortably in second place is Team PokerStars Pro Florian Langmann with 1,304,000. Swedes Joel Nordkvist and Michael Tureniec are also ranked in the top four in chips. Veterans Surinder Sunar (149,000) and Juha Helppi (142,000) are still hanging on with the shortest stacks.
The money bubble burst with the elimination of Dennis Bjerregaard in 65th place, ensuring that everyone left would earn at least DKK 55,000. Other players lost during Day 3 include Team PokerStars Pros Johnny Lodden (32nd) and J.P. Kelly (41st), and Day 1A chip leader Mark Hirleman (29th), all of whom were eliminated in the money.

Hand of the Day:
The Bubble Pops
Bubble boy Dennis Bjerregaard got all in with Q Q against his Ørjan Skommo’s A K. The flop came 9 6 4, but the K on the turn was enough to send Bjerregaard to the rail as the room erupted into applause because all remaining players were then guaranteed to earn at least DK 55,000.
