The people over at PacificPoker.net want players to show down and win June 25 and June 28, when the last two "Showdown Survivor" events take place.

It works like this: On those two days "survivor" points will be given to players who make a deposit of $50 or more and play at cash ring games at stakes $0.50-$1 or higher with no less than three other members between the hours of midnight to 6 p.m. PTT.

Every time a player reaches a showdown, he receives points. Players receive 1 point for playing hold'em and 2 points for playing stud and Omaha.

The top 100 players who accumulated the most points during the set time will receive a bonus. The player with the most points on June 25 receives $200. Finish in the top 50 and receive at least $50. Finish in the top 100 and receive at least $25.

On June 28, the bonuses go sky-high. PacificPoker.net will give $5,000 away to the top five point accumulators who make a deposit of $50 or more on June 28 and play at cash games with stakes of $2-$4 or greater with three players or more between the hours of 6 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. PPT. Points are given away the same way as on June 25.

When the day's over, the top five players will get a piece of $5,000. The top point earner will win $2,500; second place, $1,250; third place $650; fourth place $400; and fifth place will receive $200.

PacificPoker.net already held two "Showdown Survivor" events (June 14 and 19) as part of a month of celebrating improvements to the site, which is part of the publicly traded 888 Holdings, made.

Players can now play more than one table at a time at PacificPoker.net. Players can play at up to three ring games and two tournaments simultaneously.

The site has also added an international flavor by now being available in five different languages: Danish, German, French, Italian, and Swedish.

The site also is now offering - for free - a poker school. The lessons feature slick short movies that walk newbies through everything from downloading and installing the software to finding games in PacificPoker.net's lobby to playing the game.

The poker school even offers videos for more advanced players. Topics include playing Omaha high and stud, positioning, playing the flop, "knowing thyself," and reading opponents, among other subjects.
